Meet Lisa
My voice was quiet, my presence was muted, and I learned early that my worth was tied to my obedience. I was just a kid, and I didn’t understand why I wasn’t allowed to play with my friends after school because I had to go fetch groceries for my grandmother to make dinner. I was only 5 years old when I was told to walk several city blocks to pick up cigarettes for my parents. I didn’t understand why I was always the one running errands—why my needs and desires were never considered. In those moments, I thought, This is what I’m here for: to do for others, to keep quiet, to be obedient. I didn’t realize it then, but I was already building a life based on silence and self-sacrifice.
In my twenties, this pattern of silence turned into a physical reality. I hit 326 pounds, carrying not just the weight of my body, but the weight of my unspoken dreams, desires, and needs. There was a moment one morning when I looked at myself in the mirror and thought, How did I get here? My body was a reflection of my emotional world: trapped, quiet, and waiting for something to change, yet too scared to make it happen. I couldn’t ask for what I needed. I didn’t even know what I wanted. I was simply surviving.
But then came a shift—an experience that started with a single step. One night, I laid in bed, staring at the ceiling, when a voice within me whispered, What if there’s more to life than this? And with that simple question, everything began to change. I dove into hypnotherapy and coaching, unraveling the layers of self-doubt and fear that had bound me for so long. Slowly, I found my voice—first a whisper, then a roar.
Through this journey, I discovered that the imposter syndrome I had long battled wasn’t a permanent part of me—it was a product of the beliefs I had internalized. As I healed, I realized I was worthy of joy, love, and success. I shed the belief that I had to be silent, that I had to shrink to fit in. I began to design the life I wanted, not the life I was conditioned to accept. Each day I rose a little stronger, a little bolder. I lost the weight—not just the physical pounds, but the emotional baggage that had kept me small. I found my shine again. I became the woman I had always wanted to be, and I realized that the life I had been waiting for was already inside me, ready to be lived.
Today, I’m dedicated to helping women and gender-diverse individuals break free from their own limiting beliefs, overcome imposter syndrome, reclaim their voices, and create the lives and businesses they deserve. Through my 90-day Radiance Reset program, I guide others to heal their past, overcome burnout, and step into their true power—just as I did.
